Appalachian State University has been monitoring the situation with COVID-19 closely.  Day camps and programs serving children and teens this summer must adhere to the current guidance and University guidelines.  We encourage parents and campers to read the full list of camper requirements.

About

Performance Camps will be offered for 3 sessions, each lasting 4 weeks. You may choose between 3 days per week (MWF) or 2 days per week (any combination of MWF; you choose at registration). All classes will meet from 6:00pm-7:00pm. Each session is open to any and all athletes who are currently enrolled in grades 7-12.

  • Session 1: September 1 - September 29
  • Session 2: October 4 - October 29
  • Session 3: November 1 - November 29

Three days per week camp

Fee: $200
Where: Holmes Convocation Center & Varsity Gym at Appalachian State University
Day and Time: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 6:00pm-7:00pm

Two days per week camp

Fee: $170
Where: Holmes Convocation Center &  Varsity Gym at Appalachian State University
Day and Time: Monday & Wednesday, or Monday & Friday, or Wednesday & Friday, 6:00pm-7:00pm

NOTE: If a monthly session has begun and you do not want to wait until the next month to begin training, please email Coach Glass at glassla@appstate.edu to ask about a reduced rate for the month. If you have participated in previous camps or have multiple children participating, please contact Coach Glass for a reduced rate.

A completed medical form (PDF) must be printed, signed by a parent or legal guardian, and brought to the first session.

Registration 

There are a maximum number of participants permitted in each camp session, so register early! Full payment is required at the time of registration.

Fall Session Registration Link

To pay by check, complete online registration and mail in a copy of your confirmation with your payment. Please note spaces are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. The program may fill before we receive your payment. We suggest registering now with a credit card using our secure server.

If you decide to cancel your registration, a $50 cancellation fee will be withheld. No refunds will be issued for no-shows. 
Appalachian State University reserves the right to cancel the program for any reason.  If a camp is canceled by the University, a full refund will be issued. 

Cancellation details: A full refund less a $50 administration fee will be issued for any cancellation received at least 1 week prior to the start of the camp session. The $50 administrative fee is not refundable for ANY reason.
Because we have to guarantee our number of participants in order to prepare for camp, any cancellation received less than 1 week prior to the start of camp will not be eligible for any refund except in the case of injury or illness, in which case, supporting documentation from a doctor is required. The $50 administrative fee will still be processed.
A camp fee may not be transferred to any other Appalachian State camp. A camp fee may not be transferred to any other camper. All cancellation notices must be received by the deadline above to the email: winklerml@appstate.edu
All supporting documentation for a refund to be approved and processed must be submitted within 10 days after the conclusion of the camp. Campers who are injured while at camp will not be eligible for a refund.

Program Leadership

Program leaders include Anthony Glass, Director of Strength and Conditioning for Olympic Sports; Henry Murray, Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach; Grant Kastelan, Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach; Eddie Reyes, Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach; and Matt Mauldin, Strength and Conditioning Intern.

According to NCAA rules and regulations, all camps and clinics are open to any and all entrants regardless of skill level 
(limited only by number, age, grade level and/or gender).
