ASU Innovate for Good - a STEM Outreach Program
The ASU Innovate for Good initiative aims to increase diverse students’ awareness about STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) education and career paths through series of hands-on programs. Specifically, the 2020 Aspire IT program aims to engage girls in rising 4th to 10th grades in projects that utilize emerging technologies to address social problems. Some of the technologies that students will engage in are Mobile Application Development (Android apps); Internet of Things (IoT), Robotics with Arduino, MIT Scratch; Alice 2.0 Programming. The Aspire IT program is partly funded by the National Center for Women in IT (NCWIT) and also supported by the Association of University Women (AAUW) Greensboro Branch.
Each student must complete the registration. If more than one student from a single-family is interested in participating, separate registration for each student must be completed. Upon completion of this registration, you will be notified within 5-7 business days of your acceptance into the summer camp.
Student Eligibility: Females in rising 4th through 10th grade. Only 36 students will be accepted into the program.
Program Dates: Mon-Fri, July 27-31, 2020. Space is limited to 36 participants. We suggest you pay by credit card to ensure your space. If you choose to pay by check the program may be full when we receive your check.
Program Hours: 8:30 am to 4:30 pm (Monday -Thursday); 8:30 am to 4:00 pm (Friday). The program will conclude at 4:00 pm on July 26 for all participants.
Day Student: $225.00
Residential Student: $475.00
*$50 deposit due at time of registration. Final payment is due June 1, 2020.
- Day Student Fee: The registration fee includes 5 lunches (starting with lunch on Monday, July 27 through lunch on Friday, July 31), limited illness/accident insurance, program manual, flash drive and supplemental materials, field trips, and a t-shirt.
- Residential Student Fee: The registration fee includes 5 nights lodging in the residence hall, 14 meals (starting with dinner on Sunday, July 26 through lunch on Friday, July 31), limited illness/accident insurance, program manual, flash drive, and supplemental materials, field trips, and a t-shirt.

Day Student/Program Check-in: Monday, July 27, 8:00-8:30 am in Peacock Hall, Walker College of Business, located at 416 Howard St, Boone, NC 28607. Transportation: Transportation and its expense to and from camp is the responsibility of the camper and his/her parent/guardian.
Cancellations on or before June 5, 2020, will receive a full refund less $50 processing fee. There are NO REFUNDS after June 5.
