2019 Exercise and Art for Health Summer Camp (EArtH Summer Camp)

 Appalachian State University's First Multidisciplinary Play-Based Program

NEW IN 2019!

Appalachian State University offers its first six-week day camp of non-stop fun!  Campers will participate in play-based activities, sport and cooking classes designed by ASU professors and local experts.  Activates will be at the Leon Levine Hall of Health Sciences and at the Greenway.

Campers will EXPERIENCE fun and healthy food through games, group activities and outdoor exploration, LEARN social skills with group play and teamwork activities, and DEVELOP culinary skills to make healthy food choices through hands-on instructions.

COME HAVE FUN WITH US!  Every activity session will build on the last to develop campers' skill sets in a variety of activities.  Active campers will be amazed at how much fun and learning they can accomplish after attending the camp every day.


You are all invited meet the camp director and staff at the Leon Levine Hall of Science on June 5th at 5:30pm.  In that occasion we will provide the detailed camp schedule and offer a tour of the spaces where the different camp activities will happen.  We look forward to meeting with you all soon.

Campers Eligibility:

The camp is for 8-11 years old children.  Register now! Space is limited to 20 campers.

Camp Duration:

6 week day camp

Monday - Friday, June 17th-July 26th 2019

Due to the holidays, camp will not be held July 4th and 5th.

Camp Hours:

Drop-of time 7:30 - 8:00 am

Pick-up time 4:00 - 4:30 pm

Pricing for Day Camp:

$1,500* for 6 weeks, all-inclusive.  The camp fee includes lunch, snacks, sport and creative activities, recreation, a camp T-shirt, hat and armband.  Fees may be paid in three separate installments.  Please choose partial payment at registration when prompted.  Payment is due April 1, May 1, and June 1.  Cancellation fee is $50.  All other fees will be returned upon cancellation.  Due to the limited number of spaces available, there are no refunds for no shows.  The camp will be cancelled and the registration will be refunded, if we don't reach the minimum registration number by May 31st.

Apply for Need-Based Assistance:

 The EArtH camp received a grant to assist registrants with the fee for the reasons listed below.  The grant money is limited and will be offered to eligible applicants in the order they are received until it is expended. 

  • Sliding scale fees ( $450, $300 and $150) based on family income, or
  • Siblings discount, $250 for each registration if you register 2 or more children.
