Appalachian State University has been monitoring the situation with COVID-19 closely.  Day camps and programs serving children and teens this summer must adhere to the current guidance and University guidelines.  We encourage parents and campers to read the full list of camper requirements.

AppState Cheerleading Summer Clinics

AppState Cheerleading will be offering 3 Summer Clinic Session.

  • Session 1: June 12
  • Session 2: June 26

Registration Fee: $85.00 per clinic     Registration will close 3 days prior to the start of each clinic.      Walk up registrations will not be allowed 
Time: 9:00 am - 4:00 pm  There will be a break for lunch from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm 
Place: Varsity Gym at Appalachian State University
Material to be covered:

  • Stunt class
  • Tumbling class
  • Basket basics
  • Pyramid basics


Session 3 will be a 2 day clinic

Dates: July 17 - 18

Registration Fees:  $130.00 for the weekend
      Registration will close 3 days prior to the start of each clinic
       Walk up registrations will not be accepted

Day 1: 9:00 am - 12:00 pm, Break for Lunch, 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Day 2: 10:00 am - 2:00 pm, midway break for snack
Place: Kidd Brewer Stadium and Sofield Indoor Facility

Participants: Grade 6 through College
      Participants should wear cheer clothes, bring lunch, a water bottle, and snack.

A completed medical form, signed by a parent or legal guardian, must be brought to the first session. Please click this link to print the two page form.
Preferred registration ends one week before each camp begins. 

Online Registration will close 3 business day before each clinic.
No walk up registrations or payments will be accepted.

Please note spaces are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. The program may fill before we receive your payment. We suggest registering now with a credit card using our secure server.


Head Coach

Coach Morgan Delgado became the Spirit Coordinator / Head Cheer Coach in August 2014. She graduated from App State with a bachelor's degree in Nutrition and Foods with a concentration in Dietetics. She cheered for App State (2011- 2014) and was the MVP award recipient for the 2013-2014 season. As an App State alumnae, Coach Morgan's passion for the University and the team allows her to continue pushing the culture and grow the team. Under her direction, App State Cheer took 3rd place in the squad's first competition since the early 2000s at the 2017 Canam College Nationals in the Small Coed Division.

Coach Morgan is a decorated Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA) instructor with over nine years of teaching experience, six years of heading camps, and three years of instructing college camps. She has received many opportunities to travel with UCA for special events, has been awarded Vet of the Year, and has been a Judge for UCA High School Nationals.

Refund Policy

If you register for a clinic and decide to cancel your registration at least two weeks before the clinic date, you will be refunded your camp fee, minus a $40 cancellation fee. No refunds will be issued for no-shows.
