Appalachian State Coronavirus Information
Appalachian State University has been monitoring the situation with COVID-19 closely. In order to keep members of our campus and surrounding communities safe, the University has made the following statements regarding meetings, events, camps, conferences, and university-related travel (details can be found at http://www.appstate.edu/go/coronavirus/):
Effective May 15, all on-campus, in-person summer camps, programs, and conferences are canceled through the first day of fall classes.
Effective March 11, all events with 100 or more in-person participants, including those events sponsored by student organizations and those organized by outside community partners on the App State campus, are canceled or postponed until otherwise directed or authorized in writing by the Chancellor or Provost. Organizers should consider offering their events via alternative methods if possible.
Effective March 11, all events that include face to face instruction, regardless of size, are canceled or postponed until further notice.
No new non-essential, in-person events of groups of 100 more participants should be scheduled until further notice.
Effective March 11, university-sponsored travel outside the state of North Carolina, or within the state to gatherings of 100 or more people, is suspended. This includes student organizations.
Based on the information above, Conference & Camp Services (CCS) will assist our clients and participants in rescheduling these events if possible and issuing refunds or registration credit for future events.
